Ganesh is the Hindu elephant-headed god, known as the Remover of Obstacles, the god of domestic harmony and of success. He is the most beloved and revered of all the Hindu gods, and is always invoked first in any Hindu ceremony or festival. Ganesh is often seen dancing, as dance, in Hindu as in many cultures, is a form of prayer which creates a heightened consciousness and elicits energies that call forth the divinity within the self.
