In East Asia, ancestral spirits are thought of as still being active family members. In Thailand, the belief in spirits is so strong that every home or business establishment has a house where spirits may take shelter and forge a bond of harmony between the spiritual world and the world as we know it.

I create these spirit houses to provide a place for the spirits of ancestors, guardians, or other celestial beings to take refuge in our world
